A photo of the runner made on behalf of my parents as a gift to my gorgeous cousin K on her wedding to K.

I followed the pattern from a magazine borrowed from the public library.
This design had applique, embroidery and quilting in it.

Also had the "dreaded first ever" binding to be done.Followed the tutorial in http://www.redpepperquilts.com/2009/11/binding-tutorial.html and http://crazymomquilts.blogspot.com.au/2008/10/binding-tutorial.html
These made my life so much easier when doing the binding. Thank you for these tutorials!!!

So my first COMPLETED quilting project was done...

Update on my crafts

I love crocheting as this makes me feel connected to my Nana who taught me to crochet.

I am currently crocheting the ruffled scarves in different colours. I have finished four. The red shaded one was sent as a gift to R.

The cream one went to E.

I knitted one in shades of pink and crocheted one in shades of blue.

I am crocheting a shaded blue scarf as a gift for L- the person who introduced me to the joy of quilting and beading. This is my "on the train"project.

I currently have a shaded brown scarf on my knitting needles. This is my "in front of TV" project.

I have noticed that knitting ruffled scarves takes twice the time to crochet them.
